PUBLIC NOTICE

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(WEDNESFIELD WAY) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 11 September 2025 the Wolverhampton City Council made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting traffic from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
Wednesfield Way Cycle Lane closed in both directions between the junction of Bentley Bridge Way to the pedestrian entrance to Bentley Bridge Shopping Park. Cyclists to dismount and use the footway.
Footway closed on Wednesfield Way, at the pedestrian entrance to Bentley Bridge Shopping Park. Pedestrian Diversion Route: Backhouse Lane, Bentley Bridge Way and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of six months, and it was originally anticipated that the works would be undertaken from 08:00 on 15 September 2025 until 17:00 on 15 October 2025. It is anticipated, however, that the works will now be undertaken from 14 November 2025 until 14 December 2025.
The Order is required to facilitate the HV cable install for new EV chargers by Eclipse Power Networks.
