HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 119:
NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER
THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 17 (PART) –
PARISH OF HAYFIELD) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
THE ABOVE ORDER made on 15 October 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the whole width of that part of Hayfield Parish Public Footpath No. 17 at Hegginbottom Farm, Birch Vale, commencing at Point A (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 0241 8723) and proceeding in a generally easterly direction along track for around 38 metres to Point B (GR SK 0244 8723), then generally north-eastward through pasture for around 65 metres to Point C (GR SK 0248 8728), a total distance of 103 metres or thereabouts, to a 2-metre-wide grass-surfaced footpath commencing from the aforementioned Point A and proceeding in a generally north-eastward direction for around 22 metres to Point H (GR SK 0242 8725), then generally east north-eastward for around 64 metres to Point C (GR SK 0248 8728), a total distance of 86 metres or thereabouts; and, the above order will also divert the whole width of that part of Hayfield Parish Public Footpath No. 17 at Lower Cliff Farm, Birch Vale commencing at Point D (GR SK 0249 8729) and proceeding in a generally north-easterly direction for around 83 metres to Point E (GR SK 0254 8735), then generally north north-eastward for around 12 metres to Point F (GR SK 0254 8737), then generally northward for around 36 metres to Point G (GR SK 0254 8740), a total distance of 131 metres or thereabouts, to a 2-metre-wide grass-surfaced footpath commencing from the aforementioned Point D and proceeding in a generally north north-eastward direction for around 128 metres to Point G (GR SK 0254 8740) as shown on the order map.

not later than 11 December 2025. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Derbyshire County Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
