North Yorkshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various works

What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Woodlands Road, Rillington, Order 2025, No. 427.

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Woodlands Road, Rillington due to Fuse Upgrade, excavate to locate cable including 2 LV joint bays in footway, 21m of open cut trench in footway & 6m road crossing to joint new cable & reinstate excavations to alter supply works / potential danger to the public. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 13/11/25 until 28/11/25 inclusive, however the maximum duration of this Order will be until 19/05/26 in case of any unforeseen delays. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Castlegate, Malton, Order 2025, No. 435.

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Castlegate, Malton due to carriageway surfacing works. The maximum duration of this Order will be from 18/11/25 until 26/12/25 inclusive, however it is envisaged that the restriction will be in place for 2 weeks during this timescale. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Broughton Road, Broughton, No. 458.

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Broughton Road, Broughton due to drainage works. The maximum duration of this Order will be from 01/12/25 until 31/03/26 inclusive, however it is envisaged that the Restriction will be in place for 1 week during this timescale. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. OneWay Traffic, Norton Road, Norton-On-Derwent, Order 2025.

Notice is hereby given that on the 04.11.25 we have made an Order under Sections 1(1) & 2(1) to (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along any length of road specified in column 2 of the following Schedule in a direction other than that specified in relation to that length of road in column 3 of that Schedule. Schedule - Road In The Parish Of Norton Road, Norton-On-Derwent, One-Way Traffic.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 04.11.25 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
