What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 9, MARTLESHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 9, Martlesham at the railway crossing to facilitate track renewal works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be The Street, Top Street, Footpath 9A and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

• 21/11/2025 - 24/11/2025 from 12am - 6.25am

• 28/11/2025 - 01/12/2025 from 12am - 6.25am.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C339 HOLLESLEY ROAD, CAPEL ST ANDREW

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C339 Hollesley Road, Capel St Andrew from 20 metres north of the junction with Dock Farm Road for 30 metres northbound to facilitate the installation of a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Melton Road, Sutton Road - Hollesley, Woodbridge Airfield Road, The Walks, Sutton Road - Bromeswell, Orford Road - Bromeswell, Orford Road - Eyke, Spratt Street, Butley Road, Woodbridge Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/11/2025 - 14/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3325 KIRBY LANE, SWILLAND

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3325 Kirby Lane, Swilland from Red Court for 199 metres eastbound to facilitate vegetation clearance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Kirby Lane, High Road, the B1078, Charity Lane, Newton Hall Lane, Kirby Land and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/11/2025 - 14/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C432 WOOLPIT ROAD, DRINKSTONE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C432 Woolpit Road, Drinkstone from Burts Farm Cottages for 30 metres westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Green Road, The Street, Rattlesden, Felsham Road, the A1088 from the District Boundary to the A14, Woolpit Road, Church Road, New Road, the road near Ticehurst Farm, Woolpit Road, Tostock Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/11/2025 - 14/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C685 STANNINGFIELD ROAD, GREAT WHELNETHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C685 Stanningfield Road, Great Whelnetham from 75 metres north of The Old Rectory for 90 metres northbound to facilitate tree cutting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Tutelinah Road, the A134, Chapel Road, Hoggards Green, Bury Road, Bells Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate 21/11/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C324 Boot Street, Great Bealings from the junction with Playford Road to the junction with Grundisburgh Road to facilitate installing a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Playford Mount, Bealings Road, Playford Road, Ipswich Road, Grundisburgh Road, Ipswich Road, Rose Hill, The Street, Woodbridge Road, Grundisburgh Road, Hasketon Road, Boot Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/11/2025 - 04/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3329 Elm Tree Farm Lane, Grundisburgh from the junction with Ipswich Road to the junction with Gull Lane to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Gull Lane, Stoney Road, The Street, Rose Hill, Ipswich Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 21/11/2025 - 04/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
