What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6405 FEN STREET, HOPTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6405 Fen Street, Hopton from Pump House for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate water pipe repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Nethergate Street, the B1111, Hollow Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/11/2025 - 13/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1141 CROSS GREEN, COCKFIELD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1141 Cross Green, Cockfield from Hope House to Lanterns to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1071, the B1115, the A134 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/11/2025 - 19/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3125 GRANVILLE ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3125 Granville Road, Felixstowe from no. 6 for 25 metres south eastbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Manning Road, Cavendish Road, Sea Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/11/2025 - 12/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C685 SHIMPLING ROAD, LAWSHALL

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C685 Shimpling Road, Lawshall from 320 metres southeast of the junction with Hanningfield Green for 35 metres southbound to facilitate overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Shimpling Road, The Street, Donkey Lane, Church Road, Old Lane, Bury Road, Shimpling Road, the A134, Bridge Street, Aveley Lane, Stanstead Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/11/2025 - 12/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7427 HARTEST HILL AND SHIMPLING ROAD, HARTEST

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U7427 Hartest Hill, Hartest from the Church to Lawshall Road
  2. U7427 Hartest Hill, Hartest from Lawshall Road to Shimpling Road

? U7427 Shimpling Road, Hartest from Hartest Hill to Fosters Farmhouse.

This is to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Stanstead Road, Shimpling Road, Upper Street, The Hill, the B1066 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/11/2025 - 28/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C362 BONDS CORNER AND MARKET HILL, GRUNDSBURGH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. C362 Bonds Corner, Grundisburgh from the junction with Market Hill to Poplar Farm
  2. C362 Market Hill, Grundisburgh from the junction with Otley Road to the junction with Grundisburgh Road.
  3. This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion routes will be:

  4. Otley Road, Swilland Road, Otley Bottom, Otley Road, Grundisburgh Road, Market Hill and vice versa
  5. Bonds Corner, Otley Road, Swilland Road, Otley Bottom, Otley Road, Grundisburgh Road and vice versa.
  6. It is intended that the closure will operate in the following phases:

  7. 20/11/2025 - 04/12/2025
  8. 05/12/2025 - 11/12/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 22, SPROUGHTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 22, Sproughton from Lower Street for 130 metres southbound for safety reasons to enable repairs to a damaged surface. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

There is no diversion route.

This order continues in force the emergency measures introduced on 22/10/2025

It is intended that the closure will operate until 21/04/2026 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C452 UPPER STREET, BAYLHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C452 Upper Street, Baylham from the junction with the B1113 for 700 metres south westbound to facilitate installing fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1113, Grimstead Hill, the B1078, Willisham Road, Main Road Willisham, Willisham Hall Road, Ipswich Road, Main Road Nettlestead, Hall Lane, and return from B1113 to C450, Upper Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/11/2025 - 28/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C685 Stanningfield Road, Great Whelnetham from outside Bells Lane Farm for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A134 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 20/11/2025 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C449 PARK ROAD, COMBS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C449 Park Road, Combs from 340 metres west of the junction with Tannery Road for 30 metres westbound to facilitate stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Tannery Road, Moats Tye, Gardeners Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/11/2025 - 12/11/2025 from 9am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C324 PLAYFORD ROAD AND C330 BUTTS ROAD, PLAYFORD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the:

• C324 Playford Road, Playford from the junction with Grundisburgh Road to the junction with Road from C323 to C324 and:

• C330 Butts Road, Playford from the junction with Playford Road for 20 metres southbound.

This is to facilitate installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

• Ipswich Road, Grundisburgh Road, Ipswich Road, Rose Hill, The Street, The Green, Woodbridge Road, Grundisburgh Road, the C324 and vice versa.

• Lodge Road, Rosery Lane, Hall Farm Road, Boot Street, Bealings Road, Butts Road, Playford Road, The Street, Station Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/11/2025 - 04/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7506 HOLLOW LANE, CARLTON COLVILLE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U7506 Hollow Lane, Carlton Colville from the shared use between Uplands Close and Hollow Lane to the footway between Hollow Lane and Yarrow Drive to facilitate gas mains replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Mallow Road, Hollow Grove Way and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 20/11/2025 - 21/01/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
