NOTICE OF PROPOSAL

THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (DENBIGH PRIMARY TRAFFIC EXCLUSION ZONE) ORDER 202*. THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (HILLBOROUGH ROAD TRAFFIC EXCLUSION ZONE) ORDER 202*. THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (LEAGRAVE PRIMARY AREA TRAFFIC EXCLUSION ZONE) ORDER 202*. THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (RIVERBANK PRIMARY AREA TRAFFIC EXCLUSION ZONE) ORDER 202*.



1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Luton Borough Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 1, 2, 4 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be:
(a) to introduce a No Entry for unauthorised motorised vehicles restriction between 8.00am and 9.15am and 2.30pm and 4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays during school Term time only, in:
(i) Antony Gardens from Hillborough Road;
(ii) Bath Road from Carlton Crescent;
(iii) Beaumont Road from Biscot Road;
(iv) Cavendish Road from Denbigh Road;
(v) Corncastle Road from Hillborough Road;
(vi) Deans Close from Hillborough Road;
(vii) Denbigh Road from Ascot Road;
(viii) Denbigh Road from Beaumont Road;
(ix) Foxglove Way from New Bedford Road;
(x) Hillborough Road from Russell Rise;
(xi) Poppy Close from Primrose Close;
(xii) Primrose Close from Foxglove Way;
(xiii) Strangers Way from Hockwell Ring;
(xiv) Strangers Way from High Street;
(b) to prohibit turning for unauthorised motorised vehicles between 8.00am and 9.15am and 2.30pm and 4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays during school Term time only, in:
(i) Ascot Road, no left turn into Denbigh Road;
(ii) Biscot Road, no left turn into Beaumont Road;
(iii) Biscot Road, no right turn into Beaumont Road;
(iv) Carlton Crescent, no left turn into Bath Road;
(v) Carlton Crescent, no right turn into Bath Road;
(vi) Denbigh Road, no right turn into Cavendish Road;
(vii) High Street, no left turn into Strangers Way;
(viii) High Street, no right turn into Strangers Way;
(ix) Hockwell Ring, no left turn into Strangers Way;
(x) Hockwell Ring, no right turn into Strangers Way;
(xi) New Bedford Road, no left turn into Foxglove Way;
(xii) New Beford Road, no right turn into Foxglove Way;
(xiii) Russell Rise, no left turn into Hillborough Road.
3. A copy of the proposed Orders, of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of maps which indicate each length of road to which the Orders relates to can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order at Luton Borough Council, Building 14, Central Depot, Kingsway, Luton LU4 8AU.

4. Persons desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Order should send a statement of their representations or objections, and the grounds thereof, via email to

md.shahnewaz@luton.gov.uk,

or in writing to Luton Borough Council, Building 14, Central Depot, Kingsway, Luton LU4 8AU, quoting the reference HW/TRO/P2149 to arrive no later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
