Temporary Road Closure
on U5501 Shambles Lane

Notice is hereby given that the Department for
Infrastructure in its capacity as Road Authority and acting
in pursuance of its powers under Article 7 of the Road
Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 has
temporarily prohibited the use of the above named road to
through traffic, from the junction of B78 Markethill Road to
the junction of A25 Newry Street from 08:00 on
Monday 17 November 2025 until 08:00 on Monday
08 December 2025.
Local access and access for emergency vehicles will be
maintained at all times.
This closure is to facilitate work by R Heatrick Ltd.
An alternative route will be signed with traffic being
diverted via:
Diversion 1: B0078 Markethill Road, B0078 Cladymilltown
Road, C0204 Clady Road, C0204 Lower Aghincurk Road,
C0204 Carrickgallogly Road, U5125 Outleckan Road,
C0204 Monaghan Road, A0025 Newry Road, A0025
Newry Street.
