What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(LOWER WALSALL STREET) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Lower Walsall Street at its junction with Minerva Lane.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on 21 November 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.
The diversion route is: Willenhall Road, Stowheath Lane, Bilston Road, Bilston Street Island, Middle Cross, Horseley Fields, Lower Horseley Fields and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate the repair of a defective manhole frame and cover by STW.
