NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY
TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS
AFFECTING: THE MALL, EALING.
Ealing Council intends to make the following
temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order
for planned works - TT 4902 The Mall, Ealing - 2025.
Reason for notice
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or
near the road. These works involve Thames Water carrying
out essential survey works to underground sewers.
Effect of order
1. This notice will suspend the westbound bus lane in The
Mall, Ealing from building numbers 59 to 65 (70 metres
in total) from 23.59hrs on 9th December to 05.00hrs on
10th December 2025 so that all vehicles can use it.
2. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle
movements will take effect from 9th December 2025.
3. Whilst the suspension is in force no person shall cause
or permit any vehicle to wait or load or unload a vehicle
in the bus lane area.
4. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will
only apply at specified locations where appropriate
traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance
with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
5. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced
vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place
to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic
management measures.
6. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in
uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or
ambulance.
Date order will come into force.
9th December 2025
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 8th June 2027 or, on completion
of the works, which is expected to be 10th December
2025, whichever is sooner.
