Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Maintenance and Infrastructure Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5626 SWAN ROAD, WORLINGWORTH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5626 Swan Road, Worlingworth from 20 metres north of the junction with Pipers Meadow for 30 metres northbound to facilitate a water meter replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Tannington Road, Church Street, Church Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/11/2025 - 14/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C361 THE STREET AND THE C501 THE STREET, HARLESTON AND MENDHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
• C361 The Street, Harleston
• C501 The Street, Mendham from 240 metres west of Withersdale Road for 86 metres westbound.
This is to facilitate a bridge inspection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Low Road, the B1116, the B1123, Mendham Road, Withersdale Road, The Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/11/2025 from 8am - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C611 WARREN ROAD, RED LODGE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C611 Warren Road, Red Lodge at the junction with Juniper Road for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Warren Road, Herringswell Road, the B1506, the B1085, Turnpike Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/11/2025 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C556 Hunston Road, Badwell Ash from Fairviews for 60 metres north eastbound to facilitate drainage and highway improvements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Hunston Road, Ixworth Road, Walsham Road, Wattisfield Road, Stow Lane, the A1088, The Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/11/2025 - 05/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/11/2025 - 21/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNES WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE U5301 BRAISEWORTH ROAD AND THE C547 STOKE ROAD, BRAISEWORTH AND STOKE ASH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5301 Braiseworth Road, Braiseworth from 130 metres south of Clay Lane for 30 metres southbound to facilitate repairs to a district meter. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Clay Lane, Stoke Road and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on the C547 Stoke Road, Stoke Ash from the junction with Clay Lane northwards.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 10/11/2025 - 14/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C432 Woolpit Road, Drinkstone from 320 metres west of the 4397 to the C435 to the C432 for 30 metres westbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Green Road, The Street, Church Street, Elmswell Road, the A1088 from the District Boundary to the A14, Woolpit Road, Church Road, the road near Ticehurst Farm, Woolpit Road, Tostock Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/11/2025 from 8am - 1pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be the A12, the A1094, the B1069 Church Road, Snape Road, Orford Road, the B1078 Ashe Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/11/2025 - 11/11/2025 from 9am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON PART OF THE U1069 PRINCES STREET, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U1069 Princes Street, Ipswich from Museum Street to Coytes Gardens to facilitate water remedial works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Friars Street, Queen Street and no vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the one-way traffic on the U1069 Princes Street, Ipswich to allow access and egress.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 10/11/2025 - 12/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
