TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

CAISTER-ON-SEA – 1) C483 Norwich Road (eastbound) from its junction with A149 Caister Bypass for 90m eastwards and

2) A149 Caister Bypass Roundabout at its junction with C483 Norwich Road to facilitate duct connection works, the Road 1 will be temporarily closed and traffic over the Road 2 shall be prohibited to turn left onto C483 Norwich Road from 17th to 28th November 2025 (may continue until 9th January 2026). Alternative route is via: A149 Caister Bypass, Yarmouth Road, High Street, Norwich Road (West Caister, Caister-on-Sea). The works promoter is Persimmon Homes.

FAKENHAM – U1405B Nelson Road from its junction with C575 Wells Road for 80m north-westwards to facilitate kerb replacement works on 19th November 2025 (may continue until 31st December 2025). Alternative route is via: C575 Wells Road, U1405T Butchers Lane, U1405B Nelson Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

FAKENHAM – C552 Holt Road from its junction with C590 Greenway Lane for 70m south-westwards to facilitate water connection works from 17th to 21st November 2025 (may continue until 2nd January 2026). Alternative route is via: C590 Greenway Lane, C550 Queens Road, C552 Holt Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD – U59316 Crowes Loke from its junction with Spencer Close for 50m westwards to facilitate duct laying works for Openreach from 17th to 21st November 2025 (may continue until 2nd January 2026). Alternative route is via: Crowes Loke, Sandhole Lane, Salhouse Road. The works promoter is BT.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Wellington Road from its junction with Albert Square for 80m northwards to facilitate new connection works from 17th to 19th November 2025 (may continue until 31st December 2025). Alternative route is via: Wellington Road, Kimberley Terrace, Albert Square. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Balmoral Avenue from its junction with Barnard Avenue for 140m southwards to facilitate pipe replacement works from 20th November to 5th December 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Barnard Avenue, Sandringham Avenue, Hamilton Road. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Haven Bridge from its junction with North Quay for 450m south-westwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and lining works between 19:00 and 05:00 from 17th to 21st November 2025 (may continue until 3rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: Pasteur Road, Southtown Road, William Adams Way, Herring Bridge, South Denes Road, Southgates Road, South Quay, Hall Quay. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

HILLINGTON – U19188 Grimston Road from 70m west of its junction with U19059 East Winch Road for 230m westwards to facilitate cable installation works from 17th to 19th November 2025 (may continue until 30th December 2025). Alternative route is via: A148 Grimston Road, A148 Hillington Bypass, B1153 Flitcham Road, Lynn Road, U19059 East Winch Road. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

HOLT – C300 Station Road from its junction with C300 Market Place to its junction with Kerridge Way to facilitate blockage clearing works between 20:00 on 20th November and 07:00 on 21st November 2025 (may continue until 2nd January 2026). Alternative route is via: C300 Market Place, C488 High Street, A148 Norwich Road, A148 Holt Bypass, C300 Station Road. The works promoter is Virgin Media.

LODDON – U19118 Mill Loke from its junction with C401 Lower Street for 70m eastwards to facilitate new duct installation works for BDUK from 17th to 21st November 2025 (may continue until 2nd January 2026). Alternative route is: Lower Street, A1062 Ropes Hill/Norwich Road, Mill Hill, Mill Loke. The works promoter is CityFibre.

NORTH WALSHAM – C555 Market Street from its junction with C500 Mundesley Road for 70m south-eastwards to facilitate new electricity supply installation works, traffic (constituting any class of vehicles) on the Road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload between 08:00 and 18:00 from 16th and 23rd November 2025 (may continue until 4th January 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is UK Power Networks. NB: Please note that these restrictions will only be in place on Sundays within the anticipated dates period. NB: The taxi rank will be relocated to Church Street.

OLD CATTON – C251 St Faiths Road from its junction with Garrick Green for 40m southwards to facilitate overhead structure works on 17th November 2025 (may continue until 29th December 2025). Alternative route is via: St Faiths Road, Lodge Lane, Spixworth Road, Church Street. The works promoter is BT.

PASTON – Chapel Road from its junction with Bears Road for 40m eastwards to facilitate remedial works from 17th to 18th November 2025 (may continue until 30th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Bears Road, Chapel Road, C534 Mundesley Road, Chapel Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

POSTWICK WITH WITTON & OTHERS – 1) A1270 Broadland Northway from its junction with A47 Slip Road to its junction with A1151 Wroxham Road Roundabout and

2) A1270 Broadland Northway from its junction with the A1151 Wroxham Road Roundabout to its junction with A140 Cromer Road/Holt Road flyover and

3) A1270 Broadland Northway from its junction with A1067 Fakenham Road to facilitate gully cleaning, line refreshing and grass cutting works from 17th November to 5th December 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Road 1: A1270 Broadland Northway, A1042 Yarmouth Road/Ring Road; Road 2: A1151 Wroxham Road/Heartsease Lane/Laundry Lane; Road 3: A1067 Drayton High Road/Rackheath Road (Rackheath, Sprowston, Thorpe St. Andrew CP, Postwick with Witton, Norwich, Old Catton, Hellesdon, Drayton, Taverham, Attlebridge). NB: Please note that these works will be undertaken in 3 phases. Road 1 will be closed between 20:00 and 05:00 from 17th to 21st November. Road 2 will be closed between 20:00 and 05:00 from 21st to 28th November. Road 3 will be closed between 20:00 and 05:00 from 28th November to 5th December.

STALHAM – U19128C The Street from 70m west of its junction with U19059 East Winch Road for 230m westwards to facilitate overhead installation works from 17th to 19th November 2025 (may continue until 30th December 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, C588 High Street, A149 Stalham Bypass, A149 Wayford Road, C588 Staithe Road. The works promoter is Openreach.

WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA – C551 Theatre Road from its junction with A149 Polka Road for 70m eastwards to facilitate kerb replacement works from 11th November to 28th November 2025 (may continue until 16th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Theatre Lane, A149 Polka Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

UPPER SHERINGHAM – 1) C309 Sheringham Road from its junction with A148 Holt Road for 130m southwards and

2) A148 Holt Road from 100m east of its junction with C309 Sheringham Road for 200m south-westwards to facilitate resurfacing works, the Road 1 will be temporarily closed/restricted (except for pedestrian access) and Road 2 will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 17th to 19th November 2025 (may continue until 31st December 2025). Alternative route is via: A148 Holt Road, A148 Cromer Road, C528 The Street, C528 Church Road, C309 Sheringham Road (Upper Sheringham, West Beckham, Bodham). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WOODBASTWICK – C285 Slad Lane from 470m southwest of its junction with C441 Southfield Lane for 50m south-westwards (“the Road”) to facilitate air valve cover and frame replacement works from 18th to 20th November 2025 (may continue until 1st January 2026). Alternative route is via: Slad Lane, The Street, Southfield Lane, B1140 Low Road/Norwich Road/Mill Road, Lower Street, Slad Lane (Salhouse, Woodbastwick). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

COLKIRK – C229 Hall Lane from 35m south of its junction with U35234 Fakenham View for 295m north-eastwards to facilitate pole and cable replacement works from 19th to 20th November 2025 (may continue until 1st January 2026). KESWICK AND INTTWOOD – A140 Ipswich Road from its junction with A47 J A140 Slip Off Eastbound Road for 620m northwards to facilitate lane closure works between 20:00 and 06:00 from 17th to 21st November 2025 (may continue until 2nd January 2026). Alternative route is via: Ipswich Road, Lakenham Road, Barrett Road, Martineau Lane, A146, A47 (Trowse with Newton, Keswick and Intwood, Caistor St Edmund and Bixley).

NB: Please note that the works will take place between 20:00 and 06:00 each night on each of the anticipated dates.

LITCHAM – C123 Dunham Road from 116m southwest of its junction with C123 Church Street/C222 Dereham Road for 600m south-westwards to facilitate cattle grid repair works from 17th to 21st November 2025 (may continue until 2nd January 2026). Alternative route is via: C123 Dunham Road/Litcham Road, C240/C241 Beeston Road, C241 Church Road/The Street/Back Lane, C221 Mileham Road, C222 Litcham Road/Dereham Road and vice versa (Kempstone, Litcham, Beeston with Bittering, Great Dunham). MORLEY – U76333 The Street from its junction with U70878 Deopham Road for 470m northwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 18th November 2025 (may continue until 2nd January 2026). Road 1 will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and Road 2 shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (eastbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a westerly and easterly direction from 18th to 20th November 2025 (may continue until 1st January 2026). KING’S LYNN – Tennyson Avenue at its intersection with the level crossing for 20m northwards and 20m southwards to facilitate maintenance repairs to the level crossing between 00:00 and 04:30 on 17th to 21st November 2025 (may continue until 29th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Tennyson Road, Goodwins Road, Vancouver Avenue, Austin Street, Our South Gates Roundabout, London Road, Railway Road, Norfolk Street, John Kennedy Road, Austin Street. ATTLEBRIDGE – C260 Station Road from its junction with Reepham Road to its junction with Felthorpe Road to facilitate works to remove bellmouth entrance and infill from 10th to 16th November 2025 (may continue until 23rd December 2025). Alternative route is via: Reepham Road, Fir Covert Road, A1270 Broadland Northway, A1067 Fakenham Road, C260 Station Road, Station Road (Felthorpe, Taverham, Swannington, Attlebridge). The works promoter is Volker Fitzpatrick.

CROMER – Jetty Street from its junction with High Street for 40m north-eastwards to undertake scaffolding works from 10th November to 7th December 2025 (may continue until 7th June 2026). Alternative route is via: Jetty Cliff, Promenade, New Street, A149 Prince Of Wales Road, A149 Hamilton Road, A149 Church Street, High Street. The works promoter is Building & Maintenance Norfolk Ltd.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Acle New Road from its junction with Fullers Hill Roundabout for 300m north-westwards to facilitate resurfacing works between 20:00 and 06:00 from 10th to 16th November 2025 (may continue until 29th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Acle New Road, North Quay, Hall Quay, South Quay, Southgates Road, South Denes Road, Herring Bridge, William Adams Way, A47 Gorleston On Sea From J A143 To J A1243 Including Roundabout N, Western Bypass, A47 J A1243 Roundabout, A47 Roundabout, J A1243 To A149 Runham Roundabout, J A147 A149 Roundabout, Lawn Avenue, Caister Road, Yarmouth Road, Caister bypass, A1064 Great Yarmouth. (Great Yarmouth, Caister-on-Sea). The works promoter is National Highways.

NB: Access to be given to residents of School Road (Marshal will be on site).

HOLT – White Lion Street from its junction with Albert Street for 50m south-westwards to facilitate works for a new gas connection from 10th to 11th November 2025 (may continue until the 23rd December 2025). Alternative route is via: Bull Street, Shirehall Plain, White Lion Street, Market Place, High Street, New Street, Cross Street (Holt). The works promoter is Cadent.

HORSFORD – C278 Haveringland Road from its junction with B1149 Holt Road for 285m westwards to facilitate new electrical connection works from 10th to 28th November 2025 (may continue until 9th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Haveringland Road, Short Thorn Road, B1149 Holt Road (Felthorpe, Horsford, Stratton Strawless). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

OULTON AND CAWSTON – C263 Oulton Street from 380m northeast of its junction with B1149 Holt Road for 100m north-eastwards to facilitate excavation works to lay new duct and construct carriageway chamber from 10th to 14th November 2025 (may continue until 31st December 2025). Alternative route is via: B1149 Holt Road/Norwich Road/Linc Road, Mill Street, Aylsham Road, Blickling Road, New Road, The Street, The Avenue, The Street (Cawston, Heydon, Itteringham, Cawston, Oulton). The works promoter is BT.

POSTWICK WITH WITTON – Yarmouth Road from its junction with A47 Roundabout for 90m eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and widening and traffic island modification works from 10th November to 11th December 2025 (may continue until 12th December 2025). Alternative route is via: A47, Yarmouth Road, Cucumber Lane, The Street, Blofield Road, Brundall Road, Station Road (Brundall, Postwick with Witton, Blofield). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

NB: Please note that Cucumber Lane and Yarmouth Road will not be closed at the same time.

REEPHAM – Palmers Walk from its joining with B1145 Station Road for 15m southwards to facilitate electric vehicle infrastructure installation works from 10th to 14th November 2025 (may continue until 28th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Chapel Walk, Reepham Footpath 15, Station Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

NB: Please note that the closure/restriction is anticipated to take place within a 24-hour period within the anticipated dates.

SCULTHORPE – C326 Moor Lane for 235m southwards from its junction with U14504 The Street for 50m northwards to facilitate fire hydrant repair works from 12th to 14th November 2025 (may continue until 26th December 2025). Alternative route is via: C326 Moor Lane/The Street, A148 Lynn Road/Creake Road, B1355 Burnham Market Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

SUSTEAD – C303 Cromer Road from its junction with C293 Alymerton Road for 50m eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water manhole cover and frame replacement works from 10th to 12th November 2025 (may continue until 24th December 2025). Alternative route is via: C293 School Road, C305 Mill Lane, C301 Church Road, A148 Holt Road, B1436 Cromer Road, B1436 The Green, B1436 Roughton Road, C304 Metton Road (Aylmerton, Sustead, Felbrigg). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

THURSFORD – C318 Heath Plantation Lane from 245m northwest of its junction with A148 Holt Road for 50m north-westwards to facilitate kiosk and ducting installation works from 10th to 12th November 2025 (may continue until 24th December 2025). Alternative route is via: C318 Heath Plantation Lane, C316 Hindringham Road, A148 Holt Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA – Blackhorse Yard from 30m north of its junction with Theatre Road for 30m northwards to facilitate stop tap replacement works from 10th to 12th November 2025 (may continue until 24th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Blackhorse Yard, Theatre Road, The Glebe, Freeman Street. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WEST RAYNHAM – U57004 Ringland Lane from its junction with C172 Ringland Lane to its junction with Marl Hill Road to facilitate bellmouth entrance infill works from 10th to 16th November 2025 (may continue until 28th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Ringland Lane, Marl Hill, Marl Hill Road, New Road, Top On the Hill, Hempton, Longville). The works promoter is Volker Fitzpatrick.

BLO’ NORTON – Fen Road from 210m east of its junction with U1184 Fen Lane for 35m eastwards to facilitate water connection works from 10th to 12th November 2025 between 09:30 and 16:00 daily (may continue until 28th December 2025). Alternative route is via: Fen Road, U1184 Fen Lane, B1105 Wells Road, C534 Mill Road, C534 Bramble Hill, B1155 South Street. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

DEREHAM – 1) C584 Commercial Road from 110m south of its junction with Cross Way for 40m southwards and

2) C584 Commercial Road from its junction with C584 London Road for 335m northwards to facilitate water connection works, the Road 1 will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and the Road 2 shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (southbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a northerly and southerly direction between 19:00 and 06:00 from 12th to 14th November 2025 (may continue until 26th December 2025). Alternative route is via: C496 Norwich Street, C585 Station Road, C584 London Road/Commercial Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

HALES AND HECKINGHAM – 1) U76348 School Lane from its junction with B1136 Yarmouth Road for 65m northwards and 2) U76349 Briar Lane from its junction with B1136 Yarmouth Road for 70m westwards to facilitate new fibre network installation works from 10th to 21st November 2025 (may continue until 2nd January 2026). Alternative route is via: Road 1: Norton Road, Briar Lane, B1136 Yarmouth Road; Road 2: Farm Road, Ferry Road, B1136 Yarmouth Road. The works promoter is CityFibre.

NB: Please note that closures will be in place when signed between the dates of 10th November 2025 and 21st November 2025. Only one closure will be in place at any one time.
