What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(STREATLEY ROAD, SUNDON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from
the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Streatley Road, Sundon 25 metres either side of the water plant.
This temporary closure is required to enable section 278 resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 5 December 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Manor Road, Sundon Park Road, Bramingham Road, Icknield Way, A6 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 1 December 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(LONDON ROAD, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of London Rd, Dunstable between Oldhill and Beech Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 1 to 3 December 2025 between the hours of 8pm and 5am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B489, B4541, B4540, A5183.
The Order will come into operation on 1 December 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(CASTLE HILL ROAD, TOTTERNHOE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Castle Hill Rd, Totternhoe between numbers 62 and 64.
This temporary closure is required to enable electrical maintenance work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 17 to 21 November 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A505, A5, West St, Tring Rd, Totternhoe Rd.
The Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(PARK ROAD AND GROVE ROAD, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Park Road, Dunstable and Grove Road, Dunstable from number 8 to Park Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable footway resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 17 November to 12 December 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The roads will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative routes for these closure are:
Park Road – Great Northern Road, London Road, Borough Road and vice versa.
Grove Road – Downs Road, Great Northern Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Houghton Regis between Trinity Grove and Crixsey Mead.
This temporary closure is required to enable lateral gully connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 17 to 28 November 2025 between the hours of 9am and 1530pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A5, A505, B5120, Bedford Rd.
The Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
