What is happening?

NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 15.64/13/1 &
15.71/34/1 Parish Kirkby Overblow, Order 2025 No 189 Notice is hereby
given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public
access along Public Footpath 15.64/13/1 & 15.71/34/1 in the Parish of Kirkby
Overblow between grid reference SE32044631 & SE33324680 due to an
unsafe bridge, has been continued in force for a further 12 months until
06/11/26 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under
Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for
Transport. The further continuation of the closure will be put into effect by
notices & signs. An alternative route will be signed on site. All enquiries to:

40 Mph Speed Limit, Various Roads, Burnt Yates, Order 2025 Notice is
hereby given that on 31/10/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order
under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV
of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any motor
vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph on any length of road
specified in Schedule 1 below & the speed limits in the Order described in
Schedule 2 below are revoked as detailed in Column 2:- Schedule 1 - 40
Mph Speed Limit B6165, Burnt Yates, from a point 394.5 metres West of its
intersection point with the centre line of Pye Lane (C263) to a point 242.8
metres East of intersection point with the centre line of Pye Lane (C263),
measured along the Northern channel line of the B6165. Pye Lane (C263),
Burnt Yates, from its junction with the B6165 to a point 278.2 metres North of
its intersection point with the Northern channel line of the B6165, measured
along the centre line of Pye Lane. Clint Bank (C263), Burnt Yates, from its
junction with the B6165 to a point 191.5 metres South of its intersection point
with the Southern channel line of the B6165, measured along the centre line
of Clint Bank. Schedule 2 – Revocations North Yorkshire County Council
(Various Roads. Burnt Yates) (20mph, 30mph & 50mph Speed Limits) Order
2019 - In so far as it relates to item 1, Schedule Part 3 (50 mph Speed Limit),
In so far as it relates to item 2, Schedule Part 3 (50 mph Speed Limit) & In so
far as it relates to item 3, Schedule Part 3 (50 mph Speed Limit). A copy of
the Order, which comes into operation on 10/11/25, may be examined at
County Hall, Northallerton & at Harrogate Library, Victoria Avenue,
Harrogate, HG1 1EG during normal office hours from 06/11/25 until 12/12/25
& also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to question the
validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it
is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any
Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the
Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 31/10/25 make application to the High
Court for the purpose.
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Carr Side Road, Great Ouseburn,
Order 2025, No. 445 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle
from using Carr Side Road, Great Ouseburn for a temporary period (subject
to access to premises) between 17/11/25 & 28/11/25, due to drainage works.
However, the max duration of this Order is until 17/01/26. The closure period
will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on
