What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:


(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HOBBS HILL ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hobbs

Hill Road, Hemel Hempstead from its southernmost junction with Stonelea Road north eastwards to its junction with Upper Barn, a distance of approximately 35m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Hobbs Hill Road, Stonelea Road, Belmont Road, Athelstan Road and Hobbs Hill Road. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COMMON LANE AND  LANGLEY HILL, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Common Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with A4251 Hempstead Road south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Love Lane, a distance of approximately 639m. An alternative route will be via A4251 Hempstead Road, Vicarage Lane and Love Lane.

2. that length of Langley Hill, Kings Langley from its junction with A4251 High Street south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Vicarage Lane, a distance of approximately 834m. An alternative route will be via A4251 High Street and Vicarage Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN A5183 LONDON ROAD, FLAMSTEAD/

A5183 DUNSTABLE ROAD, MARKYATE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A5183 London Road, Flamstead/A5183 Dunstable Road, Markyate from its junction with the Watery Lane/the M1 (junction 9) roundabout north westwards to its junction with B4505 Luton Road, a distance of approximately 3695m (“the length of Roads”).

An alternative route will be via A5 (unnamed road), A5183 (Dunstable

Road/Redbourn Bypass/St Albans Road/Redbourn Road/Folly Lane),

A4147 (Folly Lane/Catherine Street), A1081 (St Peters Street/

Harpenden Road/St Albans Road/High Street/Luton Road/London

Road/New Airport Way), A505 Kimpton Road, Windmill Road, A505

(Chapel Viaduct/Stuart Street/Dunstable Road), A5065 (Hatters Way/

Skimpot Road), A505 Luton Road/Church Street), Station Road, Great Northern Road and A5183 (High Street South/London Road/ Watling Street).

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GADEBRIDGE LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Gadebridge Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Piccotts End north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Piccotts End, A4147 Link Road, A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road and Gadebridge Lane.

The Order is needed because tree cutting is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PULLER ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Puller Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Grosvenor Terrace south eastwards for a distance of approximately 35m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Grosvenor Terrace, Cowper Road, St Johns Road and Puller Road.

The Order is needed because service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREEN END LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Green End Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Northridge Way north westwards to its junction with St Nicholas Mount, a distance of approximately 252m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Northridge Way, Long Chaulden, Varney Road and Green End Lane.

The Order is needed because tree safety works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHAULDEN LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chaulden Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Pouchen End Lane south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 480m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Pouchen End Lane, Winkwell, A4251 London Road, Fishery Road, Northridge Way and Chaulden Lane. The Order is needed because trail hole works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (FROGMORE ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD)

(RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in Frogmore Road, Hemel Hempstead as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 12 November 2025 during office hours, at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.
