(PIPPIN STREET, BRINDLE, CHORLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 20 MPH on the length of highway specified within this order.
1. Pippin Street, Brindle from its junction with B5256 Sandy Lane, Brindle for its full length.
2. The prohibition will be operative from 1631 hours on Friday 7th November 2025 until 1700 hours on Tuesday 25th November 2025 or until completion of the works within this period.
3. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
The police, fire and ambulance service has been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow traffic to pass through utility works safely.
