OLDHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE OLDHAM ST ANNE'S SCHOOL ROYTON AREA PROHIBITION OF WAITING/PROHIBITION OF STOPPING/PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & ONE WAY TRAFFIC ORDER 2025 The Oldham Borough Council on 21st November 2025 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to:- Prohibit waiting at all times on St Annes Avenue north side 3m west of the junction with Ormerod Avenue eastbound to a point 12.5m east of the junction with Ormerod Avenue and south side from a point 3m west of the junction with Ormerod Avenue eastbound to a point 11.5m east of the junction with Ormerod Avenue and on Ormerod Avenue east side from the junction with St Annes Avenue north for 7m and on west side from the junction with St Annes Avenue north for 6m and on both sides of Mellalieu Street from its junction St Anne's Avenue a point 2m south of the junction with Ormerod Avenue Prohibit stopping on Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm on the east side of Ormerod Avenue from a point 15m metres north of its junction with St Annes Avenue for a distance of 43.5 metres in a northerly direction Introduce one way traffic on St Anne's Avenue - Westbound from its junction with A671 Oldham Road to its junction with Ormerod Avenue and on Mellalieu Street - Southbound from its junction St Anne's Avenue to its junction with Houghton Street and on Haughton Street Eastbound from its junction with Mellalieu Street to its junction with Oldham Road Prohibit motor vehicles 8.15am to 9.15am and 2.45pm to 3.45pm on the entire length of Ormerod Avenue. The Order will come into operation on 28th November 2025 A copy of the Order and a map showing the lengths of road referred to and a copy of the Council's statement of reasons may be examined at my office between the hours of 8.40am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday, Telephone 0161 770 4836 Oldham Spindles Ref: LJM/VF23627 If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date hereof apply to the High Court for the purpose.
