TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF

WAITING / PARKING

To ease traffic congestion and allow access during an emergency, the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends to introduce a temporary restriction on waiting / parking by vehicles to apply between 3.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday 8 November 2025, in the lengths of street specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

SCHEDULE

Fairfax Road, Teddington – on both sides of the road

  • From its junction with Cromwell Road south-eastwards to a point 10 metres south-east of its junction with Harlequin Road

Harlequin Road, Teddington – on both sides of the road

  • From its junction with Fairfax Road to Porterhill Court and into the entrance to the school playing field.

(N.B. The extent of the temporary waiting restrictions will be indicated by the placing of “No Waiting” cones. Footway parking is an offence and will be enforced.)

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure

Field Lane, Teddington.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Field Lane, Teddington.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Field Lane, Teddington from the junction with High Street to the junction with Springfield Road.

  3. Whilst Field Lane, Teddington is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via High Street, Cedar Road, Bridgeman Road, Field Lane and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 10 November 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 10 November to 11 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure

Heathside, Whitton.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate electrical works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Heathside, Whitton.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Heathside, Whitton outside numbers 54 to 56.

  3. The order will come into effect on 17 November 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 17 November 2025 to 21 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

    1. Nothing in the Order applies to:

      (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

      (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

      (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

    1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Ruskin Avenue, Kew.

    2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Ruskin Avenue, Kew at the junction with Defoe Avenue.

    3. The order will come into effect on 18 November 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 18 November 2025 to 19 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

    4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

    5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

      (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

      (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    Temporary Cycle Lane Suspension

    Sheen Road, Richmond.

    1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecom works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibition of traffic in Sheen Road, Richmond.

    2. Whilst the works take place, the cycle lane will be suspended in Sheen Road, Richmond from the junction with Sheen Common Drive in a westwards direction for a distance of 15 metres.

    3. The order will come into effect on 09 November 2025, the works are anticipated to be in progress at all times on 09 November 2025 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

    4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

    5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

      (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

      (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate electrical works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Sudbrook Lane, Petersham.

    2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Sudbrook Lane, Petersham from a point outside Box Cottage southeastwards for a distance of approximately 20 metres.

    3. Whilst Sudbrook Lane, Petersham is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Sudbrook Lane and Petersham Road.

    4. The order will come into effect on 17 November 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 17 November 2025 to 30 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

    5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

    6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

      (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

      (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Warren Avenue, Richmond from the junction with Upper Richmond Road West to outside the boundary wall of number 2 Warren Avenue.

    3. Whilst Warren Avenue, Richmond is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Rothesay Avenue, Tangier Road, Warren Avenue and vice versa.

    4. The order will come into effect on 10 November 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 10 November 2025 to 12 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

    5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

    6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

      (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

      (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

      (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
