REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMEMORATIONS

The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames hereby gives notice that on 05 November 2025 they made the above-named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The purpose of the Order is to facilitate the holding of Remembrance Sunday commemorations. The Order will be in force on Sunday 09 November and Tuesday 11 November 2025.
The effects of the Order are that whilst the events are taking place, the restrictions detailed in the Schedule to this Notice shall be in force in the roads specified at the times stated.
Nothing in this Order will apply to:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
The prohibitions or restrictions specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Waiting Restrictions
Austin Road, Twickenham

The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate development works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Austin Road, Twickenham.
Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand in Austin Road at the northeastern kerb line from its junction with Mereway Road north-eastwards for a distance of approximately 30 metres.
The order will come into effect on 17 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)
Temporary Road Closure
Church Street, Twickenham

The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleaning works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Church Street, Twickenham.
Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Church Street, Twickenham from the junction with Church Lane Eastwards for a distance of 22 metres.
Whilst Church Street is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Church Lane, Riverside, Lebanon Park and Richmond Road and vice versa.
The order will come into effect on 11 November 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress at night only from 22.00 on 11 November 2025 to 05.00 on 12 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

Clarence Street, Richmond

The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleansing works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Clarence Street, Richmond.
Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Clarence Street, Richmond from the junction with Parkshot to the junction with Kew Road.
Whilst Clarence Street, Richmond is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Kew Road, The Quadrant, Duke Street, Little Green, Parkshot.
The order will come into effect on 19 November 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 19 November 2025 to 20 November 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
