What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Footpath 1 and Bridleway 20, Wrabness) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 1 & Bridleway 20, Wrabness in the District of Tendring as specified below.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 1 November 2025 to 1 May 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while the bridge on the Bridleway is replaced.

No alternative route.

The Order will come into effect on 1 November 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Heath Road, Bradfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Clacton Road, Mistley) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Heath Road, Bradfield in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 30m south west of its junction with Dairyhouse Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction.

  2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on that Clacton Road, Mistley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Long Road to its junction with Steam Mill Road as detailed in “The Essex County Council (North East Essex) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1989”.

The closure/suspension are scheduled to commence on 6th December 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001454702 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Heath Road, Steam Mill Road, B1035, B1352, The Street, Heath Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 14th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
