ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14

AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

AND OTHER ENABLING POWERS

KINGSDOWN AVENUE, SOUTH CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate repairs to a collapsed pipe by Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Kingsdown Avenue, South Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Kingsdown Avenue will be closed outside No. 6 Kingsdown Avenue.

3. During the closure the alternative routes for traffic will be via A235, Biddulph Road, Montpelier Road and vice versa, or via A235, St Augustine’s Avenue, Blenheim Park Road and vice versa.

4. The Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 05 December 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

STANGER ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water connection on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Stanger Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

(a) Stanger Road will be closed between its junctions with Gresham Road and Crowther Road.

(b) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in the permit/ payment parking places located within the above closure area.

3. During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted as detailed below.

• Via Crowther Road, Portland Road and Doyle Road.

• Clifford Road, Portland Road, Balfour Road and Stanger Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 24 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

6. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING ORDER

REMEMBRANCE DAY AND ARMISTICE DAY COMMEMORATIONS

ASSOCIATED RESTRICTIONS

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to commemorate Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day on the 09 and 11 November 2025 respectively, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily close to vehicular traffic and parking, except for vehicles participating in the processions, those streets or lengths of street specified in the Schedules to this Notice.

2. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.

3. The Order will come into effect on 09 November 2025 and will be re-introduced on 11 November 2025.

4. Nothing in the Order shall apply:

a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform,

b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

5. Whilst the prohibition remains in force, diversion for displaced traffic in the Town Centre will be via Fell Road slip road and Park Lane. The diversion for traffic displaced by the Alwyn Close closure is via Dunsfold Way, Frensham Drive and Headley Drive.
