(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B651 WHITWELL ROAD, ST PAULS WALDEN)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B651 Whitwell Road, St Pauls Walden from its junction with Roberts Court north eastwards for a distance of approximately 500m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B651 (Hitchin Road/High Street/Horn Hill/Hitchin Road), B652 (High Street/Kimpton Bottom/Bower Heath Lane), B653 (Lower Luton Road/Lower Harpenden Road/Gypsy Lane/Windmill Road), A505 (Kimpton Road/Vauxhall Way/Stopsley Way/Hitchin Road/Offley Bypass/Moormead Hill/Offley Road/Upper Tilehouse Street), A602 Park Way, B656 London Road and B651 Whitwell Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HEATH ROAD, BREACHWOOD GREEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Heath Road, Breachwood Green from its junction with Colemans Road north westwards to its junction with St Marys Rise, a distance of approximately 166m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Chapel Road, Lye Hill, Whiteway Bottom, Dane Street, Chiltern Green Road, The Green, Kimpton Road, Kimpton Road (West), Luton Road, B652 High Street, B651 (Hitchin Road/Horn Hill), Lilley Bottom Road, Church Road, Darley Road and Heath Road.
The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF REDHILL, RUSHDEN) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Redhill, Rushden from a point 150m north west of its junction with Roe Green north westwards for a distance of approximately 150m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Redhill, C10 (unnamed road), The Street, Wallington Road, B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road, A505 (Baldock Bypass/Royston Road), C5 (unnamed road) and Redhill
or via Redhill, C5 (unnamed road), A505 (Royston Road/Baldock Bypass), Wallington Road, The Street, C10 (unnamed road) and Redhill.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 28 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A602 LYTTON WAY AND DANESGATE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
the southbound carriageway of A602 Lytton Way, Stevenage from its junction with the A1155 Fairlands Way roundabout south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A602 Six Hills Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 649m.
An alternative route will be via A1155 (Fairlands Way/St Georges Way) and A602 Six Hills Way.
that length of Danesgate, Stevenage from its junction with A602 Lytton Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 118m.
An alternative route will be via A602 Lytton Way, A1155 (Fairlands Way/St Georges Way), A602 Six Hills Way, Danestrete and Danesgate.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ICKLEFORD ROAD, HITCHIN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ickleford Road, Hitchin from its junction with Dukes Lane south eastwards to its junction with College Road, a distance of approximately 98m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Ickleford Road, Periwinkle Road, Water Lane, Grove Road, A505 Nightingale Road and Ickleford Road.
The Order is needed because replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 November 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
