The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places)
(Amendment No. F43) Order 20–
The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. F44) Order 20–
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of
No. 52 Cator Crescent, New Addington, No. 90 Chesdon Avenue, Croydon, No. 6 Dartnell Road, Croydon,
Nos. 630 and 632 Davidson Road, Croydon, No. 109 Godric Crescent, New Addington, No. 1 Hamilton Road, Thornton Heath, No. 73 Semley Road, Norbury, No. 54 Wentworth Road Croydon, and Nos. 1 and 30 Zermatt Road, Thornton Heath.
b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

3. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to, the Parking Design Section, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing the Parking Design Team (email address above) quoting the reference: PD/CH/F43 & F44 by 27 November 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 SECTION 14,
AS AMENDED
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
AMPERE WAY, CROYDON
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate resurfacing works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Ampere Way.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Phased closures of the northbound and southbound sections of Ampere Way will apply between its junction with Franklin Way and the southern boundary of No. 76 Purley Way.
(b) Parking within the closure areas will be prohibited and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
3. During the closures the diversion routes for traffic will be as detailed below. Access for deliveries to businesses will be maintained.
• Via Ampere Way, Beddington Farm Road, and A23.
• Via Purley Way, Mitcham Road, Beddington Lane, Coomber Way, and Ampere Way.
• Via Purley Way, Beddington Farm Road, and Ampere Way.
4. The Order will come into operation on the 12 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out overnight between 8pm and 5am and completed on 14 November 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle involved in carrying out the said works,
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into the section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

GEORGE STREET, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate kerb and footway works and the installation of a new fence in the central reservation, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic on George Street, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) George Street will be closed eastbound between its junctions with Wellesley Road and Dingwall Road.
b) Vehicles emerging from the vehicular entrance between Nos. 75 and 77 George Street will be banned from turning left into George Street.
3. During the works the diversion route for general traffic will be via Wellesley Road, Park Lane, Wellesley Road, Newgate, Lansdowne Road and Dingwall Road.
Southbound buses will be diverted via Wellesley Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, and East Croydon Bus Station. Northbound buses will be diverted via Wellesley Road, Newgate, Wellesley Road, Lansdowne Road, Dingwall Road, George Street, and East Croydon Bus Station.
4. The Order will come into operation on 06 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 23 November 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer

HIGH STREET, PURLEY
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms ducting works on behalf of Openreach, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic movements and parking in High Street, Purley.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) The section of High Street, Purley, joining Purley Parade, High Street, Purley and Brighton Road, will be closed.
b) The north-western footway of High Street, Purley, will be closed between No. 911 Brighton Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 10 and 11 Purley Parade, High Street, Purley.
c) The payment parking bay on the north-west side of High Street, Purley, opposite Nos. 8 to 11 Purley Parade, will be suspended
3. During the closure, the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via High Street, Purley and Whytecliffe Road South, or via High Street, Purley, A22, and Brighton Road. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure will be diverted via High Street, Purley and Brighton Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 06 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
6. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
