What is happening?
SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
(NEWLAND COURT AREA, SOUTH SHIELDS) ORDER 2025
On 5 November 2025 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order which comes into operation on 12 November 2025
will:- REVOKE No Waiting At Any time on Low Lane south side from a point 5m west of its junction with Windlass Court in an easterly direction for 215m and INTRODUCE: No Waiting At Any Time on:-
Newland Court north side the head of the cul de sac between no 7 and no 8 Newland Court for its entire length; Birdhill Place east side from its junction with Low Lane in a southerly direction for 10 metres and west side from its junction with Low Lane in a southerly direction for 6m; Low Lane south side from a point 5m west of its junction with Windlass Court in an easterly direction for 200m.
Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road
affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall, Westoe Road, South Shields, NE33 2RL.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 5 November 2025 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
