SALFORD CITY COUNCIL
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (COBDEN STREET) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025.
The Order will introduce a road closure on Cobden Street, between the junctions of Harding Street and New Thomas Street, Salford, M6 6PF. The Order is necessary for Electricity North West's Duchy Road Capital Scheme. The order is due to come into operation on Monday 5th January 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Sunday 25th January 2026. The diversion routes is via Ford Lane - Greenwood Street - Laundry Street, vice versa.
