THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES KENSINGTON HIGH STREET Footway Closure
What is happening?
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 & Section 14 (1)(A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
FOOTWAY CLOSED TO PEDESTRIANS' UTILITY WORKS.
Kensington Church Street western footway to be closed from the junction of Dukes Lane outside of number 59.
To be closed from 08.00hrs on Monday 24th November 2025 until 18.00hrs on Wednesday 26th November 2025, or until the works are completed.
Diverted Pedestrians may use the eastern footway, by using the temporary pedestrian crossing installed outside Newton Court, and the existing pedestrian crossing point at the junction of Holland Street.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
