TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025 (TMP2010)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN Leicester City Council ("the
Council") proposes to make two Orders under Sections
1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 5, 32, 35, 45 & 46 and Part IV
of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after
consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance
with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to
makes the following Orders: -
The effects of the proposed Orders, will be:
Parking proposals TMP1004
- To replace existing No waiting prohibitions with a
Restricted Parking Zone (RPZ)
prohibiting waiting at all times except in signed bays on
Castle View and Castle Yard
- Introduce payment bays operating 7.30am to 6pm on
all days, Max stay of 3 hrs, no return within 3 hrs, parking
charges set to tariff T-2 on parts of Castle View and Castle
Yard
- Introduce disabled bays operating at all times on part of
Castle Yard
- To revoke certain existing prohibitions and restrictions.
Moving proposals TMP2010
- Implement a prohibition of motor vehicles except for
loading on part of Castle Yard and a prohibition of motor
vehicles on part of Castle View
- To revoke certain existing prohibitions and restrictions.
A COPY of the proposed Order, the relevant plan, the
Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the
Order and extract copies of the Order being amended may
be seen at Leicester City Council's website: leicester.gov.

OBJECTIONS to the proposed Orders must be made in
writing and specify the grounds on which they are made
to Traffic Orders Team, Leicester City Council, City Hall,
Charles Street, Leicester LE1 1FZ or email TROteam@
leicester.gov.uk and mark for the attention of Chris
Middleton. Any objections stating grounds on which they
are made and quoting ref. 'TMP1003- Parking or TMP2001-
Moving', & must be received by Monday 1st December
2025.
The proposals are intended to better manage parking
around Castle View and Castle Yard.
The formal reason for these proposals is for preserving or
improving the amenity of the area through which the roads
run.
