NEATH PORT TALBOT COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL CYNGOR BWRDEISTREF SIROL CASTELL-NEDD PORT TALBOT (YNYS STREET REAR LANE, PORT TALBOT) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
What is happening?
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary for National Grid to carry out civil engineering works to an electricity sub-station at the location.
The Order will come into force on the 17th November 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.
It is anticipated the works will take 7 days to complete.
SCHEDULE
The lane to the rear of 23 to 30 Ynys Street will be closed from the junction of Ynys Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 90m along its length. The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected section of Ynys Street Rear Lane ,King Street,
Danybryn Road and Ynys Street.
Access for pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
