What is happening?
(VARIOUS ROADS, BIRMINGHAM) (201125)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council have made an Order the effect of which will be;
(i) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along HEARTLANDS PARKWAY, NECHELLS & WARD END between its junction with Bromford Lane and its junction with Cuckoo Road.
(ii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along NEW COLE HALL LANE, GLEBE FARM & TILE CROSS between its junction with Middle Leaford and its junction with Kitt’s Green Road.
(iii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along HURST LANE, SHARD END between its junction with Packington Avenue and its junction with Chester Road.
(iv) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the length of the service road of WOOD LANE, HANDSWORTH WOOD between property numbers 107 to 181.
(v) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along FLAXLEY ROAD, GLEBE FARM & TILE CROSS between its junction with Church Lane and its junction with Audley Road.
The temporary Order is required to highway maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by this Order will be signposted and access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on 20th November 2025 and will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
