MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC146552977: The City of Manchester (Woodhouse Park Carriageway Resurfacing, Woodhouse Park Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Greyfriars Road and Sunbank Lane. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Sunbank Lane, Chapel Lane Longsides Road, High Elm Road, Hale Road, Hale Circle, Wilmslow Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 24th November 2025 to the 9th December 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 24th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. ORDER NO. MCC146554137: The City of Manchester (Whitelow Road, Chorlton Ward (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Whitelow Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: High Lane, Stockton Road, Beech Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 24th November 2025 to the 28th November 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 24th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
