OLDHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL THE OLDHAM - ROYLEY ROAD & LANGHAM ROAD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2025

What is happening?

The Oldham Borough Council on 1st December 2025 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Royley Road from its junction with Burlington Avenue for a distance of 30 metres in a north easterly direction and Langham Road from a point 5 metres southeast of its junction with Royley Road for a distance of 20 metres in a south easterly direction. The alternative route is via Burlington Avenue and Hulme Street.
The Order is to be made to facilitate electric cable works and will be in force for 2 weeks from 8th December 2025, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Royley Road works will be 2 days 8th to 9th December and Langham Road works will be 10th to 16th December.
