TER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC146332884: The City of Manchester (School Lane, Didsbury East Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on School Lane. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Parrs Wood Road, Parrs Wood Avenue, Wilmslow Road, Parrs Wood Lane, Kingsway, School Lane vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate manhole frame and cover replacement. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 20th November 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00. The order shall come into operation on the 20th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. ORDER NO. MCC146330230: The City of Manchester (Woodhouse Park Footway Resurfacing, Woodhouse Park Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bampton Road and Poynings Drive. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway resurfacing works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 17th November 2025 to the 28th November 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 17th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
