MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order: ORDER NO. MCC146479613: The City of Manchester (Berry Brow, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Berry Brow at the railway bridge. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Droylsden Road, Oldham Road, Alan Turing Way, Ashton New Road Edge Lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate electricity connection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 15th November 2025 to 16th November 2025. The order shall come into operation on 15th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 6 November 2025
