MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC146551231: The City of Manchester (Corporation Street, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic, Prohibition of Right-hand Turn & No Waiting, No Loading) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Corporation Street from Shudehill to Miller Street, Prohibit the Right-hand Turn off Shiudehill into the Arndale Carpark and implament a No Waiting, No Loading on Swan Street for its full length & Liverpool Road between Deasngate and Potato Whaf. The alternative routes for traffic will be signed locally to the Ring Road. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to aid traffic flow across the City Centre during the Christmas Period. It is expected that the works will be in progress weekends only from 22nd November 2025 to 21st December 2025 (11:00hrs Saturday ro 20:00hrs Sunday). The Order shall come into operation on 22nd November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
