What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (C706 Denbigh Road, Hooe)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Denbigh Road – from the junction with B2095 Top Road to Cuckoos Nest.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C706 Denbigh Road – B2095 Top Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 7 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3182 Devonshire Road, Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Devonshire Road – from the junction with U3182 Middle Street to the junction with U3169 South Terrace.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3178 Cornwallis Terrace, Braybrooke Road – U3169 South Terrace.

The Order commences 10 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 10 and 14 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (B2089 Catts Green, Cripps Corner)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Catts Green – from the junction with U6621 Ellenwhorne Lane to the junction with U6622 Beacon Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2089 Catts Green – B2165 Cripps Corner Road, Northiam Road, Horns Cross – A28 Northiam Road – B2089 Chitcombe Road, Tank Hill, Whorne Woods, Catts Green and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 10 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C308 Peters Green Road, Bodiam)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Peters Green Road – from the junction with C19 Castle Road to the junction with U6879 Levetts Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C19 Castle Road – B2244 Hawkhurst Road – B2244 Hastings Road (KCC), Conghurst Lane (KCC) – A268 Rye Road (KCC), Sharps Hill (KCC) – C308 Bodiam Road (KCC) – C308 Peters Green Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 10 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C22 Butchers Lane, Guestling)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

No.2 To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Butchers Lane – from the junction with U6971 Eight Acre Lane to the junction with C638 Rock Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C639 Ivyhouse Lane, Chowns Hill – B2093 The Ridge, Old London Road – A259(T) Rye Road, Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill, Winchelsea Road, Rye Road – C22 Butchers Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 11 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 11 and 12 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Iden Road – from the junction with B2082 Main Street to the junction with B2082 Wittersham Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2082 Main Street, Iden Road – A268 Rye Road, Main Street, Flackley Ash, Barnets Hill, Two Hovens, Peasmarsh Road, Whitebread Lane – A28 Station Road – A28 Station Road (KCC), Rye Road (KCC), Hastings Road (KCC), High Street (KCC), Tenterden Road (KCC), Rolvenden Road (KCC) – B2082 Small Hythe Road (KCC), Wittersham Road (KCC), Poplar Road (KCC), Stocks Road (KCC), Rye Road (KCC) – B2082 Wittersham Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 10 and 13 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C639 Chowns Hill, Hastings & U3254 Ivyhouse Lane, Guestling and Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Chowns Hill – from the junction with B2093 The Ridge to the junction with C639 Ivyhouse Lane. Diversion via B2093 The Ridge, Old London Road – A259 Rye Road – A259(T) Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill, Winchelsea Road, Rye Road – C22 Butchers Lane – C639 Ivyhouse Lane and vice versa.

Ivyhouse Lane – from the junction with B2093 The Ridge to the junction with C639 Ivyhouse Lane.

Diversion via C639 Chowns Hill – B2093 The Ridge and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commenced 3 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 7 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U7699 Marlpits Lane, Ninfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Marlpits Lane – from the junction with U7700 Manchester Road to the junction with U7114 Moons Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7700 Manchester Road – U7114 Moons Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 26 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2165 Beckley Road, Northiam)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Beckley Road – from the junction with U6949 Pixies Lane to the junction with B2165 The Stream. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2165 The Stream, Clayhill – B2088 Rye Road – A28 Hastings Road, Perryman Cross, Well House Hill – B2165 Beckley Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 26 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (B2095 Lower Street, Ninfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Lower Street – from the junction with A269 Bexhill Road to the junction with B2095 Hooe Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 Bexhill Road, Ninfield Road, London Road – A2690 Combe Valley Way – A259(T) Little Common Road, Little Common roundabout, Barnhorn Road, Marsh Road – B2095 Top Road, Hooe Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 26 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C92 Pett Level Road, Pett Level)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Pett Level Road – from the junction with U6664 Canal Bank to the junction with P6959 Canal Side.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C92 Pett Level Road, Battery Hill, Fairlight Road – A259 Old London Road, Rye Road – A259(T) Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill, Winchelsea Road, Rye Road, The Thorne, Main Road, Hastings Road, Rectory Lane, Roberts Hill, Ferry Hill, Tanyard Lane – C92 Sea Road, Pett Level Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 23 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
