ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U6518 NORTH SEATON ROAD BACK LANE  NEWBIGGIN-BY-THE-SEA

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6518 North Seaton Road Back Lane from a point at the rear of 49 Gibson Street heading northwards for a distance of 20 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 18th November 2025 until the 19th December 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 18th November 2025 until the 22nd November 2025, the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 19th December 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being North View, Gibson Street, Westfield Crescent and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to renew a service due to high lead content. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
