A5084 Lowick Bridge, Cumbria - Temporary Road Closure due to Highway Works

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the A5084 Lowick Bridge, from its junction with the A5092, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 300 metres.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the A5092, A590 and A592, A591, A5075, A593 and the unrestricted section of the A5084.

The Order will come into operation on 24th November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
