What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Blackbrook Ave (Prohibition of Driving)
Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Blackbrook Ave from its jct. with Green Ln to its jct. with Station Rd. The Order will be effective on 29th November & 30th November 2025. The alternative route will be via Padgate Ln, Orford Rd, Birchwood Way & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to rectify a defective reinstatement. Ref: 17302304
Carrington Cl, Birchwood (Prohibition of Driving)
Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Carrington Cl from the side of 32 Carrington Cl to the end of the cul de sac. The Order will be effective from 24th November 2025 for 3 days, between 9:30am & 2:30pm. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out a new customer connection. Ref: 17112988
Museum St, Egypt St & Suez St (Prohibition of Driving & Suspension) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which will be as follows: Prohibition of Driving: Museum St from its jct. with Bold St to its jct. with Winmarleigh St; Egypt St from its jct. with Bold St to its jct. with Cairo St; Suez St from its jct. with Bold St to its jct. with Cairo St; Temporary Suspension of one-way streets: The County Borough of Warrington (Various Streets) (One-Way) Order 1959 in so far as it relates to the following: Egypt St via Bold St to Cairo St; The County Borough of Warrington (Various Streets) (One-Way & Prohibition of Right Turns) Order 1968 in so far as it relates to Schedule 2 as follows: Cairo St – From Egypt St towards Rylands St; The Borough of Warrington (Town Centre Traffic Management Scheme) Order 1993 in so far as it relates to Schedule 3 as follows: Suez St – From west to east.
The Order will be effective from 16th November 2025 for 3 weeks, with the works being carried out in 3 phases & only one closure in operation at any one time as follows:
Phase 1 – Museum St – 17th November to 22nd November & 24th November to 29th November 2025;
Phase 2 – Egypt St – 16th, 23rd & 30th November 2025;
Phase 3 – Suez St – 16th, 23rd & 30th November 2025.
The alternative routes will be as follows: Museum St via Bold St, Wilson Patten St & via Winmarleigh St & via Winmarleigh St, Sankey St, Springfield St, Palmyra Sq Nth & Bold St; Egypt St via Bold St, & Cairo St; Suez St via Bold St, St Austins Ln & Cairo St. The restrictions are required to allow Scottish Power to install a new HV cable.

(Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on St Bridgets Cl from the side of 39 St Bridgets Cl to the end of the cul de sac. The Order will be effective from 24th November 2025 for 3 days, between 9:30am & 2:30pm. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out a new customer connection.

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
