(High Street, Head Street, St Nicholas Street, Culver Street East and North Hill Colchester) (Temporary Stopping, Loading and Waiting Restriction) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 Has Made the above order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To suspend parking and waiting restrictions and to introduce no waiting and no loading on the High Street, St Nicholas Street, Head Street and Culver Street East in the City of Colchester. A temporary taxi rank will also be introduced on North Hill in the City of Colchester for the duration of the event.
1. To introduce no waiting and no loading on the following length of roads in the City of Colchester

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 will be temporarily amended in so far as it relates to the waiting, stopping and loading restrictions detailed in this Notice.
The Order will come into operation at 6pm on 8th November 2025 and will continue in force until 1pm on 9th November 2025.

(Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.45) Order 2025.
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under S1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The Effect of the Order:
1. To Revoke: ‘No Waiting & Loading Mon-Fri 8.30am-9.30am and 2.30pm-3.30pm’ Restrictions.

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting map tiles: TM060 240 Revision 1 and TM060 242 Revision 0 – Revision 1.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 13 November 2025.

(Stonefield Drive, Starflower Lane, Great Tey) (20mph Zone) Order 202
Notice is hereby given* that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order:
To implement: a ‘20mph Zone’ on the following length of roads, in the City of Colchester, including private drives and turning heads.

(Footpath 118, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 118, Colchester, in the City of Colchester, from the kissing gate on St Andrews Avenue, Colchester to its junction with Whitethorn Close — approximately 180 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 10 November 2025 to 05 December 2025 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footpath upgrade works are undertaken.
Alternative route: Whitethorne Close, Forest Road, Clarkia Walk, Alyssum Walk, St Andrews Avenue, Footpath 118 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10 November 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Frating Road, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Frating Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Park Lane for a distance of approximately 625m in a south westerly direction to the point where the road name changes to Ardleigh Road.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st December 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP021EH2385872 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while kerbing and carriageway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Ardleigh Road, Colchester Road, Bromley Road, Elmstead Lane, Frating Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Rectory Road, Little Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Little Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Harwich Road to its junctions with Manningtree Road a distance of approximately 700m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th December 2025 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP021EH2387168 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repair and signage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Manningtree Road, Little Bromley Road, Harwich Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Station Road, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 60m north west of its junction with Kiln Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th November 2025 for 1 night (1:40–06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL7315TLN1-56-35-301125 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while inspection works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via B1027, A137, A133, B1029 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, City of Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.21) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
The Essex County Council (Colchester City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 13th November 2025. Exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public.
Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

(Coast Road, West Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coast Road, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 50m south west then south east of its junction with Firs Chase for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th November 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03062659284 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter maintenance works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via High Street, Coast Road and vice versa.

(Coles Oak Lane, Dedham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coles Oak Lane, Dedham in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 60m south west of its junction with Colchester Road for a distance of approximately 300m in a north westerly then south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th November 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411002W3GGH0N – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Ipswich Road, Stratford Road, Colchester Road and vice versa (with access only into Coles Oak Lane).

(Fishponds Hill, Little Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fishponds Hill, Little Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 280m south east of its junction with Vinesse Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th November 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411002W3GNW34G – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

(High Street, Brightlingsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Back Waterside Lane to its junction with Tower Street — a distance of approximately 220m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th November 2025 for 23 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX064HIGHSTREET – Affinity Water).

(Hythe Hill, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of Lane) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
1. To temporarily close that length of Hythe Hill, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Hythe Quay for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the bus lane in that length of Hythe Hill, Colchester in the City of Colchester from its junction with Maudlyn Road for a distance of approximately 10m in an easterly direction (eastbound only) as detailed in
“The Colchester Borough (Various Roads, Colchester) (Reserved Bus Lane) Order 2000” for the duration of the above closure only.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 75m south of its junction with Fishponds Hill for a distance of approximately 30m in a southwesterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th November 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03166580788 – Anglian Water).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Peartree Hill, Mount Bures in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Dowling Road to its junction with Colchester Road — a distance of approximately 630m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP021EH2387363 – Essex County Council).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rayner Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 65m north east of its junction with Duncan Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th November 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310970995 – Anglian Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
