Notice of Proposals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act 1984, proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No. 617) Order 2025.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (South side) from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Johnson Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Primrose Street
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (North side) from a point 5 metres east of its junction with Johnson Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Primrose Street North
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (both sides) from a point 6 metres east of its junction with Primrose Street North to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Milk Street
The effect of the Order will be to revoke restriction of waiting, on Monday-Saturday, 8am–6pm, on:
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (south) from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Johnson Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Primrose Street
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (north) from a point 5 metres east of its junction with Johnson Street to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Primrose Street North
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley (both sides) from a point 6 metres east of its junction with Primrose Street North to a point 10 metres west of its junction with Milk Street

The effect of the Order is to revoke the loading bay, Monday–Saturday, 8am–6pm on:
• Elliott Street, Tyldesley (north side) from a point 4 metres east of its junction with Milk Street to a point 22 metres east of its junction with Milk Street
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a loading bay, Monday–Saturday, 8am–6pm on:
• Elliott Street, Tyldesley (north side) from a point 14 metres east of its junction with Milk Street to a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction
There will be limited exceptions permitting vehicles to wait, for the purpose of building and similar operations, removing obstructions to traffic, road works and works by statutory undertakers; for local authority, Water Companies and Post Office purposes; if the vehicles are fire service or police vehicles or ambulances (liveried vehicles) or in connection with a funeral; or the avoidance of an accident.
The Order also provides that if any vehicle is left in any road or length of road affected by the Order in contravention of any provision of the Order a penalty charge (in the amount set by the Council) shall be payable and/or the vehicle may be removed.

Bolton Road, Atherton – Proposed Toucan Crossing
Notice of Intent
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 23(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, has resolved to introduce a toucan crossing on the following street:
• Bolton Road, Atherton from a point 15 metres northeast of its junction with Marlborough Road, for a distance of 4 metres

Marlborough Road, Atherton – Proposed Raised Table
Notice of Proposals
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 90A(1), 90C, 90D and 90E of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers, proposes to construct a raised table in accordance with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999.
Proposed 75mm raised table to be introduced on:
• Marlborough Road, Atherton at its junction with Mayfair Drive

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Primrose Street North, Tyldesley) (One Way Working) Order 2025.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce One Way Working on:
• Primrose Street North, Tyldesley, from its junction with Shuttle Street to its junction with Ellesmere Street in a northbound direction

Notice of Intent
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 23(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, proposes to introduce pedestrian crossings on the following streets:
Proposed Zebra Crossing:
• Elliott Street, Tyldesley – from a point 5 metres east of its junction with Milk Street, for a distance of 2.4 metres
Proposed Toucan Crossing:
• Shuttle Street, Tyldesley – from a point 45 metres east of its junction with Primrose Street, for a distance of 4 metres
