(Bulford Mill Lane, Cressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bulford Mill Lane, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 285m south west of its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 55m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th December 2025 for 1 night (00:30-04:30), or where stated on a valid permit (KL73588A-19-76-111225 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while level crossing repairs and rail inspection works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Bulford Mill Lane, Mill Lane, Witham Road, Polecat Road, Station Road, The Street, The Green, Bulford Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 14th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Goldingtons Farm Road/Elms Hall Road, Colne Engaine) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Goldingtons Farm Road/Elms Hall Road, Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree, from both of the junctions of Brook Street to both of the junctions of Elms Hall Road. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd December 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2392020 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Elms Hall Road, Station Road, Brook Street, Halstead Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Letches Lane, Greenstead Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Letches Lane, Greenstead Green in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Plaistow Green Road to its junction with White Horse Avenue a distance of approximately 1490m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd December 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2389934 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Tidings Hill, Kings Road, A131, Plaistow Green Road and vice versa.

(Audley End, Gestingthorpe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Audley End, Gestingthorpe in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 760m north west of its junction with Hedingham Road for a distance of approximately 245m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03110798035 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Audley End, Moat Street, Hedingham Road, Broad Road, Hedingham Road, A131, Church Road, Bulmer Street, Lower Houses, Audley Road, Church Street, Audley End and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Brickhouse Road, Colne Engaine) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brickhouse Road, Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 735m north east then south east of its junction with Pebmarsh Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD0311079438 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Brickhouse Road, Green Farm Road, The Green, Pebmarsh Road and vice versa.

(Catley Road, White Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Catley Road, White Colne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bures Road to its junction with Countess Cross Road a distance of approximately 1640m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2390307 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Countess Cross Road, Lawshall’s Hill, Colne Park Road, Colneford Hill, Colchester Road, Bures Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 31st October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street Green, Sible Hedingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street Green, Sible Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 115m south east of its junction with Graves Hall Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC3009347250 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while disconnection/reconnection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Toppesfield Road, Carters Hill, Gainsford End Road, Great Yeldham Road, Toppesfield Road, A1017 and vice versa (with access only into Rectory Road, Prayers Hill, High Street Green and Delvin End).
The Order came into effect on 30th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Pretoria Road, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pretoria Road, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Colchester Road to its junction with Colne Road a distance of approximately 290m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th November 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2386879 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Colne Road, Head Street, Colchester Road and vice versa.
