(Prohibition and RESTRICTION OF Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places)

(VARIOUS ROADS) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 47) 2025

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 61 and 124 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to:–

1. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by;

i. Revoking Limited Waiting as outlined in schedule 1 below

ii. Introducing Electrical Vehicle Charging Places as outlined in Schedule 2 below

iii. and by replacing Map Tile No. AN120 in the Consolidation Order schedules.

The restrictions and/or prohibitions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.

SCHEDULE 1

(Revoke Limited Waiting Mon–Sat 8am–6pm 2hrs No Return Within 2hrs)

Green Street

Revoke Limited Waiting Parking Place from a point 7 metres southeast of private car park entrance, for 28 metres in a south-easterly direction.

SCHEDULE 2

(Introduction of Electrical Vehicle Charging Places)

Green Street

Introduce Electric Vehicle Charging Places from a point 7 metres south-east of Private car park entrance, for 28 metres in a south-easterly direction.

i. Introducing the No Waiting at Any Time prohibitions as outlined in Schedule 1 below and by replacing Map Tile No’s AG137 and AH137 in the Consolidation Order schedules.

2. The restrictions and/or prohibitions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.

SCHEDULE 1

(INTRODUCTION OF NO WAITING AT ANY TIME RESTRICTIONS)

Westward Road

• Both sides – From the junction with Buckingham Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.

• Both sides – From the junction with Buckingham Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

• South side – From the junction with Bourne Street for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction.

• South side – From a point 10 metres east of the junction with South Close Road to a point 10 metres west of the junction with South Close.

Buckingham Road

• Both sides – From a point 10 metres north of the junction with Westward Road to a point 10 metres south of the junction with Westward Road.

• West side – From a point 10 metres north of the junction with Cambridge Avenue to a point 10 metres south of the junction with Cambridge Avenue.

Bourne Street

• East side – From a point 19 metres north of the junction with Simpson Street to a point 8 metres south of the junction with Simpson Street.

• West side – From the junction with Westward Road for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction.

Simpson Street

• Both sides – From the junction with Bourne Street for a distance of 8 metres in an easterly direction.

Lindfield Estate North

• East side – From the junction with Beech Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.

• West side – From the north side of the junction with Alma Lane for a distance of 34 metres in a southerly direction.

Beech Lane

• South side – From the junction with Lindfield Estate North for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

South Close

• Both sides from the junction with Westward Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.

Cambridge Avenue

• Both sides from the junction with Buckingham Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
