Cheshire West & Chester - Temporary Road Closures due to Resurfacing and Utility Works

What is happening?

CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TRO8467 – Ledsham Road, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Ellesmere Port to enable resurfacing works, night works from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs works to be carried out by CWAC.

Ledsham Road – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 03/11/2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via:

Welsh Road, New Chester Road, A41 Roundabout, New Chester Road, Chester Road, Dunkirk Way, Bypass Road, A550 Welsh Road.

The Order will come into force on 03/11/2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via:

Welsh Road, New Chester Road, A41 Roundabout, New Chester Road, Chester Road, Dunkirk Way, Bypass Road, A550 Welsh Road.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable utility works to be carried out by Severn Trent Water.

Church Roads – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

Barrow Lane Go southwest on B5132 (Barrow Lane) toward Church Roads (113.97 metres) Make a sharp left on Church Roads (69.82 metres)

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable utility works to be carried out by Severn Trent Water.

Station Lane, Plemstall Way, Warrington Road Go northwest on Plemstall Way toward Woodland Bank (59.34 metres)

Turn right to stay on Plemstall Way (45.35 metres) Turn right to stay on Plemstall Way (45.17 metres)

Continue toward Dee Road (1.30 metres) Make a U-turn and go back on Dee Road (1.30 metres)

Turn right on A56 (Warrington Road) (571.49 metres) Turn left on Station Lane (61.87 metres).
