What is happening?

PUT BIG LIGHT ON FESTIVAL 2025
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
(SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994
The Council will make an order, operative from 2pm on 20 November 2025, to enable the ‘Put Big Light On Festival 2025’ to take place between approximately 2pm on 20 November and 10pm on 23 November 2025. All vehicles not engaged in the event will be prohibited from proceeding on Le Mans Crescent, Howell Croft South, Victoria Square South & Ashburner St. This Order will also suspend the prohibition of driving on Coronation Street.
Alternative route will be via Back Deansgate & Queen St.
The order will cease to have effect at 10pm on 23 November 2025 or on completion of the event, whichever first occurs.
