What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Public Bridleways 9, Winfrith Newburgh and 5, Coombe Keynes
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Bridleway 9, Winfrith Newburgh and Bridleway 5, Coombe Keynes between grid reference SY 817 848 and grid reference SY 832 848, a distance of approximately 1,515 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24 November 2025 for a period of 26 weeks, but it may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
The Order is required due to the extreme Health and Safety Risk caused by the continued expansion at Newburgh Dairy and adjacent Slurry Lagoon.

Temporary Closure of Station Road, Wool
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Station Road, Wool from its junctions with B3071 to the service road outside Wool Train Station (in both directions), a distance of approximately 70 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 November 2025.
This Order will provide Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd with safe access to replace the station footbridge using a crane.

Temporary Closures of Bridport Road/Williams Avenue, Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5 December 2025. Works to take place between 0700hrs and 0600hrs.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.
The effect of this Order will be:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Bridport Road between its junctions with Hawthorne Road and Barrack Road - as and when indicated by signs on site
[2] To impose the temporary road closure on Williams Avenue between its junction with Bridport Road and the main access to the hospital - as and when indicated by signs on site
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
The general effect of the order will be to:
• Introduce new no waiting at any time and no loading at any time restrictions along parts of Damers Road and Williams Avenue, Dorchester
• Revoke part of the limited wait bay on Damers Road, Dorchester (between Victoria Road and Williams Avenue)

Temporary Closure of Unnamed Road, West Compton
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along UNNAMED ROAD, WEST COMPTON between its junction with Eggardon Hill Farm Lane and the entrance to Higher Wynford House, a distance of approximately 1605 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 0930 and 1530 on 10 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 November 2025.
This Order will enable Openreach, safe access to carry out 15 spans of cabling works.
An alternative route will be signed using: Roman Road - Shatcombe Lane.
