Leighton Beck Road, Slack Head - Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL
(C5097 LEIGHTON BECK ROAD, SLACK HEAD)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of Leighton Head Road, Slack Head from its junction with the Hill Crest Drive, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 325 metres.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the C498 Brackenthwaite Road, Thrang Brow Lane, Silverdale Road, C501 Eight Acre Lane and Nineteen Acre Lane, A6 and the unrestricted sections of Leighton Beck Road.

The Order will come into operation on 26th November 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day only and as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
