What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(BYWAY NO. 540006 IN THE PARISH OF KIRKBY LONSDALE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Network Plus to carry out water chamber works (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic from proceeding along an approx. 50m of Byway No. 540006 in the Parish of Kirkby Stephen between grid references: 361046, 478507 and 361113, 478508.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be available via Dodgson Croft and New Road.

The Order will come into operation on 25 November 2025 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for 1 day.
