Eastern Road - Temporary Banned Right Turn

Portsmouth City Council (Eastern Road) (Temporary Banned Right Turn) (No.186)
Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 23rd November 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY BANNED RIGHT TURN
EASTERN ROAD
Into Tangier Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate traffic signal modifications works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 23rd November 2025 to 5th December 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 20:00 - 05:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Eastern Road, Velder Avenue, Rodney Road, Rodney Road Roundabout, Rodney Road, Velder Avenue, Eastern Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
