What is happening?

Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 6/11/25, made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the full length of Public Footpath No. 120 Ipstones Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No 53 Ipstones Parish and heading in a generally south-westerly direction for approximately 643 metres to its junction with Public Footpath No 44 Ipstones Parish.
The closure is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public using the path due to a land slip.
A plan will be displayed showing the length of public footpath to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order will come into operation on 7/11/25 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the land slip investigation works are complete, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
