TRAFFIC ORDER

On 03 November 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (C27 Kirriemuir to Glen Prosen) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that carriageway works and the creation of passing places can be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 10 November 2025, from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of seven weeks. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on C27 Kirriemuir to Glen Prosen road from its junction with the C28 Dykehead to Glen Prosen road at Spott Bridge in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 4.6 kilometres or thereby. There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic. Access will be permitted at set times which will be advertised on a local notice board.
