Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Maintenance and Utility Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Butts Hill (Part), Stapleford; from outside its property known as No.10 Hill Side for a distance of approximately 91m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement. Alternative route via Butts Hill (unaffected length) – B3083 – Butts Hill (unaffected) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. B) C32 (Part), Enford; from its property known as The Bungalow for a distance of approximately 90m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out section 81/defect – repair/replace cover and frame. Alternative route via C32 (unaffected length) – Enford Hill – A345 – Mill Road – C260 – C32 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 December 2025 and the closure will be required for 2 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600.

C) C321 (Part), Pitton and Farley; from its junction with The Street to its junction with Church Road to enable Wessex Internet to carry out communication equipment repairs and associated works. Alternative route via Church Road – The Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 December 2025 and the closure will be required until 05 December 2025. D) Mary Barters Lane, Fovant; from its junction with Dinton Road to its junction with Mill Lane to enable Wessex Internet to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via Mill Lane – Dinton Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 December 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. E) Coombe Lane (Part), Enford; from its junction with C32 for a distance of approximately 175m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to repair manhole cover/frame. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 01 December 2025 and the closure will be required for 5 days. F) Duck Street, Ebbesbourne Wake; from its junction with The Cross to its junction with May Lane to enable Wessex Internet to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via C334 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 December 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. G) C43 (Part), West Tisbury; from its junction with UC 912701 for a distance of approximately 300m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C43 (unaffected length) – C25 – C302 – C309 – C296 – C43 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 December 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. H) C334 (Part), Ebbesbourne Wake; from its junction with Pound Street to its junction with Top Road to enable Wessex Internet to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via C334 (unaffected length) – C12 – C334 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 December 2025 and the closure will be required until 10 December 2025. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

I) C291 (Part), Orcheston; from its junction with UC 054401 for a distance of approximately 100m in a westerly direction to enable Environmental Drain Services Ltd to carry out new sewer connection and associated works. Alternative route via C291 (unaffected length) – A360 – UC 054401 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 November 2025 and the closure will be required until 21 November 2025. J) Upper Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with A3094 for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction to enable SGN to carry out gas main and associated works. Alternative route via Upper Street (unaffected length) – Middle Street – Lower Street – A3094 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 20 October 2025 will now come into operation on 10 November 2025 and will be required until 28 November 2025. K) Goggs Lane, Redlynch; from its junction with Timberley Lane to its junction with Church Hill to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out core sampling and associated works. Alternative route via Church Hill – School Lane – Vicarage Road – Timberley Lane and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 20 October 2025 will now be recommenced on 10 November 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Orders J) and K) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
